Another great CD from that hot Austin, Texas phenomenon known as Mingo Fishtrap. "From the Private Bag" was released in 2001 and features five live tracks in addition to some great studio cuts.

The New Orleans vibe is strong and funky on this CD. It's a great mix of live and studio tracks with lot of eclectic fun.

If you ever have a chance to catch a live Mingo Fishtrap show, it's an opportunity you certainly won't want to miss. This is a fun, energetic band of genuinely nice people. And, oh, by the way, they just happen to lay down some of the tightest, funkiest grooves you'll hear anywhere.

If you're already a Mingo Fishtrap fan, you must have this CD. If you're new to Mingo's magnetic pull, you may want to avoid operating vehicles or dangerous machinery while listening to this album. You will likely be fighting the urge to boogie in your seat, and you'll definitely be grinning from ear to ear.
