"In this age of computers, synthesizers and drum machines, you have come to possess an increasingly rare commodity. An album full of real music, played with real feelings, by real musicians. Jack Mack have been LA's leading proponent of Rock'n'Soul music for a long time. Now, they have taken a step toward bringing their unique music to the masses. So grab your bottle, and your baby, have some friends over, play this album loudly and jack it up."
-- Glenn Frey - Snowmass, Colorado - June, 1990
Jack Mack and the Heart Attack have been together since 1980, performing their own brand of Soul music for countless people all over the world.
This, their landmark first album, Cardiac Party, produced by Glenn Frey of The Eagles, was released in 1982 and is now available on CD.
You might know Jack Mack from one of their performances, or maybe from one of the many soundtracks they've played on. Or maybe you heard them backing up other well-known artists such as Glenn Frey, No Doubt, Ben E King, Mavis Staples, Sam Moore and hundreds more.
Unfortunately, perhaps you heard their name from being in the right place at the wrong time when they were the band that was playing on stage as the bomb blew at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta's Centennial Park.
Hopefully, you know them because at one time or another they made you feel really good with their upbeat brand of R&B.
This is a classic CD by one of Americas premier Soul bands, Jack Mack and The Heart Attack. All songs are original except for the Otis Redding Classic, "I've Been Loving You Too Long".
If you're ready to hear some real music played by real musicians, this CD will make you a believer.
